Qicai Danxia Scenic Area sees Spring Festival holiday boost

During the Spring Festival holiday, Qicai Danxia Scenic Area in Zhangye, Gansu province, was favored by tourists from all over the country. It received a total of 12,000 tourists equaling its previous record in 2019.

According to local media, tourists from outside the province accounted for more than 70 percent. The scenic spot accurately predicted the rise in the number of tourists and strengthened services and provided tourists with a safe and comfortable sightseeing environment.

Qicai Danxia Scenic Area is located at the northern foot of the Qilian Mountains, and sits within both Linze county and Sunan county, in Zhangye, Gansu province. With an area of about 510 square kilometers, the area is a provincial geopark and scenic spot.
