The 10th Linze Marathon set off in Linze county, Zhangye, Gansu province on June 29, united 5,000 running enthusiasts from China and around the world.
Participants competed the full marathon (42.2 km), half marathon (21.1 km), and a 5 km health run, embracing the joy of the sport while taking in the county's spectacular natural landscapes.
Situated at the foot of the Qilian Mountains, Linze is home to a stunning variety of scenery, from colorful Danxia landforms and tranquil wetlands to shimmering lakes, vast Gobi deserts, and vibrant farmlands.

In recent years, the county has stepped up efforts to enhance ecological conservation and has continuously improved its public sports facilities. It has also pioneered integrated models such as "sports + tourism" "sports + wellness" "sports + education" and "sports + conventions", seamlessly blending athletic events with local cultural experiences.
Since 2015, Linze has successfully hosted nine marathon events, earning a reputation as both a runner's paradise and a picturesque destination.
At present, the marathon stands as a celebrated event on the calendars of domestic and international athletes alike, offering them a unique opportunity to pursue their passion amid breathtaking scenery.
