The Zhangye stop of the Nihao! China 2025 Asian Tour Operators' China Trip launched on Aug 18, marking an important step in establishing Zhangye, Gansu province as an internationally renowned tourist destination and enhancing the influence of its "Silk Road Gem: Colorful Zhangye" brand.

The event brought together 36 leading tour operators from six Asian countries, including Japan and South Korea, for a two-day tour to explore Zhangye's rich historical and cultural heritage through its unique tourism resources.
As a crucial node on the ancient Silk Road, Zhangye has witnessed over two millennia of cultural exchange and commercial prosperity between East and West.
The city will use this event as an opportunity to deepen economic cooperation and cultural exchanges with countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.
During the event, representatives from Japan and Vietnam shared their experiences and vision for future cooperation. Zhangye's tourism promoters presented the city's rich resources and unique cultural charm through immersive presentations.
The tour included visits to the Mati Temple Grottoes, the Colorful Danxia scenic spot, the Chinese Yugur Style Corridor, and the Pingshanhu Grand Canyon.
The Back to Zhangye live performance and Ganzhou Ancient City scenic area allowed the delegation to experience Zhangye's historical and modern features, building a bridge to understand the city's cultural appeal.
In the future, Zhangye will continue to optimize its cultural tourism products and services, promoting in-depth tourism cooperation with Asian countries and boosting the inbound tourism market.
