Zhangye honors entrepreneurs' contributions

The third annual Zhangye Entrepreneurs Day was held on Oct 31, bringing together business leaders from across the city to discuss development strategies and celebrate their achievements.

Entrepreneurs play a vital role in Zhangye's economy, contributing over 50 percent of its GDP, 80 percent of tax revenue, 70 percent of technological innovations, and 80 percent of urban employment.

In a letter of appreciation, the Zhangye municipal government praised entrepreneurs for their resilience and collaboration in navigating complex challenges, stabilizing production, and driving economic growth.

This recognition has motivated companies like Zhangye Dagong Pesticide Chemistry to further refine production techniques and maintain their competitive advantage in the market.

Zhangye has prioritized fostering a business-friendly environment through streamlined mechanisms and digital government services, earning national recognition for enhanced efficiency.

The city has also launched specialized service innovations in taxation, public resource trading, and legal support, receiving honors such as Top 10 Business Environment Cities in 2024 and Best Investment City for Zhejiang Merchants for three consecutive years.

Guided by a development strategy that prioritizes ecological conservation while strengthening modern agriculture, new energy, and tourism, Zhangye is advancing its modern industrial system.

This includes developing a seed industry-led agricultural model, establishing a comprehensive energy base, and promoting international tourism. Entrepreneurs are actively participating in these sectors, helping strengthen emerging chains in new energy, materials, and energy storage.
