Spring is full of exuberance and vitality, seeing migratory birds return to Zhangye, Northwest China's Gansu province. Volunteers from the State Grid Zhangye Power Supply Company have spared no efforts to save these birds from the dangers posed by power lines by installing artificial nests for them.
A Chinese musician played a famous melody on the guqin — an instrument listed as a world cultural heritage — during French President Emmanuel Macron's visit to Songyuan in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, on April 7.
"Gansu looks like a 'jade ruyi' on China's map. It intersects the Loess Plateau, Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and Inner Mongolia Plateau, and covers the Yellow River, Yangtze River, and inland river basins, serving as an ecological barrier in the west of the country."
Alien Valley Star Geological Park, located in Sunan Yugu autonomous county, Zhangye, Gansu province, boasts beautiful scenery and strange land shapes.
Located in the middle and upper reaches of the Yellow River in Northwest China, Gansu covers a vast area of beautiful natural scenery. It looks like a jade Ruyi scepter - a traditional Chinese ornament with a long S-shaped handle and a lingzhi mushroom-shaped head - on China's map.
