"Gansu looks like a 'jade ruyi' on China's map. It intersects the Loess Plateau, Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and Inner Mongolia Plateau, and covers the Yellow River, Yangtze River, and inland river basins, serving as an ecological barrier in the west of the country."
Alien Valley Star Geological Park, located in Sunan Yugu autonomous county, Zhangye, Gansu province, boasts beautiful scenery and strange land shapes.
Located in the middle and upper reaches of the Yellow River in Northwest China, Gansu covers a vast area of beautiful natural scenery. It looks like a jade Ruyi scepter - a traditional Chinese ornament with a long S-shaped handle and a lingzhi mushroom-shaped head - on China's map.
Northwest China's Gansu province held an awards ceremony for the 2022 aerial photography competition with the theme "Beautiful Gansu" on April 1, in Lanzhou City, capital of the province.
